ISME World Conference Montreal 2026

What a great week at the International Society for Music Education Conference in Montreal! I had the opportunity to present my research, connect with inspiring colleagues from different parts of the world, and return home energized by the many keynote lectures, paper presentations, workshops, and concerts. 

At the same time, I am aware that many colleagues around the world were unable to attend due to financial costs, visa restrictions, and other structural challenges. I’m very thankful to my faculty for supporting my participation, and I recognise that being able to attend is a privilege. I hope future international conferences can develop more inclusive and sustainable ways to make participation possible for more people. Already looking forward to the next one!
